Passwordless Password Management
Easy
Subs makes password management seamless by removing the need to constantly enter a master password. You sign into Subs with your Google account, instead of entering a master password.
By using Google as your access to Subs and securely storing your passwords with us, you can access your passwords if you can access your Gmail.
Access Anywhere
Anywhere you can access your Google account, you can access Subs.
We give you all the tools you need to access your passwords anywhere, easily. We have a web app, which works on all major browsers. We have a desktop app which is available for Windows, Mac and Linux. We have extensions and addons for all major browsers including: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and all Chrome based browsers like Vivaldi and Brave. We also have mobile apps for Android and iOS.
Subs uses server side encryption so your devices do not hold the encrypted data or the keys to decrypt it. Any time you want to use or view your passwords they are sent from the server to your client.
Client Side vs.
Server Side Encryption
Most password managers encrypt your passwords client side. This means you have to:
Subs encrypts your passwords server side with AES256. The advantage is that it is simpler and you don't deal with the above problems. If someone has access to your Gmail they can probably reset your passwords, so we think it makes sense to authenticate via Gmail/Google OAuth. The disadvantage is that if our service is breached all your passwords are exposed. To reduce the impact of a breach we store the passwords on a separate service. This will enable us to log, audit, monitor, and rate-limit how the passwords are used in the future.
